JIMMY O'CONNOR
Jimmy completed his record breaking appearances in two spells. Signing from Bury in 1972. He left for Macclesfield Town in 1975, returning via Runcorn and Droylsden in 1978. He played his final game of his Mossley career on 21st February 1987 at Marine whilst holding the post of team manager.

ALAN BROWN
Alan 'Bomber' Brown was signed from Bradford Park Avenue in 1971 and made his debut against New Brighton in the Cheshire League on 14th August 1971. He remained a regular in the team for the next ten years, retiring from the game after making his final appearance at South Liverpool on 8th April 1981.

DAVE MOORE
Prolific goal scorer Dave Moore was signed from Radcliffe Borough for a bargain £100 fee in 1974. Making a scoring debut v Matlock Town on 26th August 1974.
399 games and 234 goals later he retired from semi pro football after scoring in his last game against Buxton on 17th December 1983.

JOHN FITTON
Mossley's record appearances for a goalkeeper is held by John Fitton. A former Oldham Athletic apprentice John was signed from Skelmersdale United making his debut at Stafford Rangers on 12th October 1974. He made his final appearance seven years later against Worksop Town on 2nd May 1981.

LEO SKEETE
Leo was signed from Rochdale and made his debut v Boston United on 18th January 1975. 350 appearances and 188 goals later he was transferred to Runcorn for a £3,500 fee. Making his final appearance at Southport on 5th December 1981.

LENNIE DICKENSON
Midfield maestro Lennie Dickenson was one of Mossley's most popular ever players. He made his debut after signing from Buxton against Altrincham on 8th January 1966. He was transferred to Altrincham 338 games and 84 goals later, making his last Mossley appearance v Goole Town on Boxing Day 1972.

HARRY POLLITT
Harry was signed from Manchester Sunday football and made his debut v Stalybridge Celtic on 15th March 1973. He went on to make 333 appearances playing anywhere in the back four. He retired from football in May 1980 making his last Mossley appearance in the FA Trophy Final against Dagenham at Wembley.

MIKE BATTY
Mike was a former Manchester City centre half signed from Rhyl. He made his debut v Stockport County Reserves on 24th September 1966. He was surprisingly released at the end of the 1972-73 season and never played football again. Mike made his final Mossley appearance at Goole Town on 23rd April 1973.

PAUL TAYLOR
Central defender Paul had previous non-league experience with Frickley Athletic, Chorley and Radcliffe Borough when he arrived at Mossley towards the end of the 1997-98 season and he quickly became established in the heart of the Mossley defence. He completed six full seasons at Seel Park and having won the Player of the Year award three times he made more appearances than any other Mossley player since the glory days of the late 1970's and early 80's.

JACKIE DARLEY
Jackie was a very tricky winger who signed for Mossley as early as 1911. He was a prolific scorer and a big fans favourite. He turned pro in 1919 and remained a regular in the team until his retirement through injury in 1925.

MIKE FISH
Mike originally joined Mossley from Stalybridge Celtic in September 2007. He went on to become leading scorer for Mossley in the 2008/09 with 20 goals. He then transferred to Curzon Ashton in the closed season of 2009 but returned to Mossley for a second spell in November 2009. He then re-joined Curzon Ashton in the closed season of 2011. A brief spell with Stocksbridge Park Steels followed before he signed for New Mills. He re-signed for his third spell with Mossley in the closed season of 2014. Mike hit a rich vein of form, in the 2016/17 scoring 22 goals in 28 appearances for the Lilywhites before making a shock move to Brighouse Town in January 2017. He then signed for Colne prior to the start of the 2017/18 season before rejoining Mossley for a fourth spell at the end of September 2017.

DAVE VAUGHAN
Dave was signed by Howard Wilkinson from MIdland League side Boston FC making his debut v Hyde United on 10th January 1977 and was a regular in the Mossley defence until leaving for Burton Albion making his last appearance v Gainsborough on 1st May 1982. During his spell he missed only six games.
