Mossley Academy gave their poorest dispaly of the season as they crashed to a 0-3 defeat to Matlock Town at Seel Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lilywhites youngsters never got into their stride and managed only one serious effort on goal in the entire 90 minutes and that came from central defender James Sutton who headed over the bar from afree kick.
Matlock dominated the game throughout the encounter. That said, Mossley were hampered by serious looking first half injuries to key players Adam Howarth and Aaron Barrow which certainly didn't help their cause.
Matlock won the game with three second half goals scored by Tyler Sylvester (58 minutes), Ben Henderson (70) and Nathan Clarke (77).
