Mossley’s Academy team slipped to a disappointing defeat at home to Mickeover Sports at Seel Park last Wednesday in a game they ought to have won comfortably.

Mossley dominated the game but missed a host of chances and fell behind six minutes before the break when Alex Hart scored from a clearly offside position.

The second half followed a similar pattern with Mossley dominant and Mickleover a threat on the break.

Mossley equalised on 65 minutes with a neat Joe Cooper finish and there looked only one winner as chance after chance came and went. However, a defensive mix up allowed Taylor Smith an easy tap in and the points were lost.
