An excellent second half performance saw Mossley's Academy team power to victory over Radcliffe FC at Seel Park on Wednesday.
With Dylan Fitzgerald, Aaron Barrow and Adam Howarth pulling the midfield strings Mossley looked the stronger side throughout but missed chances and a copuple of good saves kept the scores level at the break.
It took until the hour mark for the deadlock to be broken and what a goal it was as Dylan Fitzgerald powered home an unstoppable 30 yard volley that gave Radcliffe keeper Jack Wall no chance.
With confidence boosted by the goal Mossley took complete control of the game and several more chyances went begging before the second goal duly arrived on 76 minutes. Again it was midfield powerhouse Dylan Fitzgerald who scored, this time with a header from Aaron Barrow's right wing corner.
It was another header that brought the third goal on 84 minutes, this time it was Adam Howarth's great downward header that found the net from another Barrow corner.
It was Aaron Barrow who completed the scoring a minute later when he danced around and between several Radcliffe defenders before finishing superbly to complete the second half rout.
