Poor defending was Mossley under 21's undoing in Monday night's home game against Ramsbottom United.
Despite dominating the first half Mossley found themselves two goals behind before left winger Adam Gulzar broke clear to slot home on 29 minutres.
Ramsbottom added a third early in the second half, a fourth goal on 57 minutes and conceded a penalty on 79 minutes when keeper McPoland brought down a Ramsbottom forward. The visitors scored from the spot and the Moslsey keeper was yellow carded for the foul.
Mossley scored a late consolation when Shaun Burnham headed home from a corner.
