Born 9th March 1956, Huddersfield based PE teacher Gerry Quinn had previously enjoyed success at all his clubs most notably taking Emley to the FA Vase final and gaining successive promotions with Ashton United from the UniBond First division to the Conference North. He also had successful spell as manager at Altrincham and Ossett Albion.

In 2006/07 Quinn was in charge at Northern Counties East League club Liversedge FC before being appointed Mossley manager in July 2007.

A season of financial troubles didn't aid Quinn's cause at Mossley and he left by mutual consent in June 2008.

Steve Graley followed Gerry Quinn from Liversedge to become Mossley assistant manager in June 2007. However the move didn't work out and he departed the club before Christmas leaving Quinn in sole charge.

He later managed Hudersfield amateur sides Huddersfield YMCA and AFC Lindley.
