Mossley, already relegated from the UniBond League premier division, were beaten 2–0 at home by Ossett Town.

Two goals in the opening quarter from Andy Hayward settled the issue and there was no way back for Mossley.

Manager Jason Beckford said: “For the first time we played liked a relegated team and went down with a whimper after what was a flat performance.

To add to Mossley's woes they had striker Steve Burke sent off for swinging a punch at an opponent in retaliation.
