Mossley made their first ever trip to Station View and came away with a valuable point.

As a whole the game wasn't for the purists but Mossley found it difficult to settle and were finding it hard to control the pacey forwards of the railwaymen. Mobile forward Steve Oleksewycz who had recently signed for the rail from Bradford Park Avenue was a constant torment for Connor and Riordan.

Mossley could have had been in front at half time but lacked the clinical finish in front of Goal both Gareth Hamlet and Paul Garvey both missed gilt edges chances before Harrogate counter attacked from a poor Mossley Free kick which was charged down by Steve Jones who raced clear and the full length of the pitch before passing to Oleksewycz who wriggled clear of Connor to fire home from the edge of the box.

Ashley Connor spared Mossley's blushes with a ha trick of class saves from Jones, Davidson and Oleksewycz. Mossley had a chance to equalise before the break when Hamlet blazed over the bar following fine work and cross from Quinn.

The Half time team talk lifted the lilywhites and they started to keep the ball better but time after time were unable to connect to the front men and the ball kept coming back. The pace of Harrogate's wingers were keeping Daryl Weston and Matthew Butters busy. As the half wore on Mossley were starting to gain control but has to wait till the dying minutes to make it count. Lee Blackshaw and Richard Conway combined and it was Blackshaw's cross which was met by the head of Hamlet who put the ball in the back of the net.

Mossley had the chance to claim all three points with a carbon copy move a minute later but this time Hamlets header was blocked on the line by Rob Morgan who cleared much to the relief of His teammates.

This was not one of the best performances by Mossley but they are showing signs of Gradual improvement and its now on to Dark Lane Rossendale on Saturday.
