Mossley strolled to a comfortable victory over struggling Radcliffe Borough at Seel Park on Tuesday night to stretch their unbeaten run to ten matches.

After creating a number of chances in the early stages as Ahmadi, Pratt and Fish all went close to opening the scoring the deadlock was finally broken on the half hour mark.

The Lilywhites won a right wing corner which was crossed in by John Bennett, Andy Keogh flicked on a header and Tom Dean arrived unmarked at the far post to ram the ball home unopposed from close range.

Mossley only had to wait four minutes before doubling the advantage. Rio Ahmadi was brought crashing down just outside the box and Kyle McGonigle stepped up to rifle home another of his trademark free kicks giving Boro keeper Chris Cheetham no chance.

The game then lost referee Dean Watson who departed with a muscle injury to be replaced in the middle by his assistant Ian Muncaster.

The Lilywhites then stretched the lead to three goals by the interval when Andy Keogh broke through a frail Boro offside trap and calmly drew Cheetham before sidestepping the stranded keeper and slotting home.

The game was firmly put to be within two minutes of the restart when Mike Fish fed Danny McDonnell on the right. The enthusiastic and hard working wing back hit a fine low cross which was turned home by Rio Ahmadi for his first Seel Park goal in Mossley colours.

Mossley visibly eased off the gas after that and allowed Radcliffe to finally force some pressure of their own. The Lilywhites defence held firm despite a sequence of Boro corners while remaining a threat on the break.

Ahmadi and substitute Sam Robinson went closest to adding to the Mossley lead before Radcliffe managed a consolation goal seven minutes from time when Steve Foster forced the ball home at the far post after a goalmouth scramble.
