A second half goal fest saw Mossley win 6-3 at North West Counties League neighbours Chadderton in Tuesday's latest pre season installment.
Former Mossley player Danny Murray gave the home side a surprise lead on 35 minutes from a suspiciously off-side position before Mossley equalised three minutes before the break when Kyle McGonigle blasted home a trademark free kick from the edge of the box after Sam Robinson had been fouled.
A flowing attack in the 54th minute saw Robinson play a one two with Brian Matthews before rifling home and Matthews added a third eleven minutes later with a 25 yard dipper.
Chadderton wouldn't lie down however and they pulled level with two James Curley strikes in the 68th and 74th minutes.
The home side were level for only a matter of moments though as Tom Dean strode forward and latched onto a quickly taken free kick before hammering home a great shot from 25 yards.
Sam Robinson added a fifth on 85 minutes when he burst through a defensive gap and John Buceto added a sixth in the final moments when his pace and trickery opened up the home defence before slotting past the stranded keeper.
