Mossley completed their away pre season friendlies with a 3-1 win against a feisty but skilful Abbey Hey side at the Abbey Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Mossley got off to a good start and took the lead as early as the fourth minutes when Ryan Brooke;s pass found Ben Halfacre who calmly picked his spot placing his shot into the bottom right corner from the edge of the box.
The game moved quickly from end to end before the home side scored a somewhat fortunate equaliser when an off target shot from an Abbey Hey midfielder deflected off the the unsighted Ben Halfacre for a rather unfortunate own goal.
Mossley edged back in front on 51 minutes when Ben Halfacre headed home Ben Richardson's superb right wing cross.
The scoring was completed in the 81st minute with a ttdy finish by Ryan Brooke from new signing Adam Morgan's pass.
Mulholland was the victim of a poor challenge by an Abbey Hey substitute in the last minute and worryingly had to be helped from the field as the final whistle sounded.
