Mossley returned to action with a hastily arranged behind closed doors friendly against New Mills at Seel Park on Saturday with the Lilywhites running out comfortable 2-0 winners.
A goal in each half by central defender Declan Evans decided the result. His first, a powerful header from a right wing corner and the second a neat curling shot from the left angle of the box were enough to see off the challenge of a spirited New Mills side who included former Mossley players Dylan Forth and gary Gee in their line up.
