Mossley were lethal in front of goal in Saturday's 5-1 win in the Lilywhites first ever visit to Golcar United.
Huddersfield's North West Counties Leaguers Golcar are managed by one time Mossley goalkeeper Ashley Connor while their team contained ex Lilywhites Mike Fish and Leon Henry.
Mossley were without the injured Andy Keogh and Kane Hickman while Dec Evans was unavailable.
Antony Brown got Mossley off to a great start when he fired home from the edge of the box in only the third minute and the Lilywhites went on to control the half.
The second goal saw good work by the trialist #11 and Pratt set up Mason Fawns who gave the home keeper no chance on 23 minutes.
Mossley went three ahead on 41 minutes when Butterworth's through ball released Harry Pratt and the forward made no mistake when one on one with the keeper.
Golcar pulled a goal back with the last action of the first half but it proved only a consolation.
Mossley scored a fourth goal on 52 minutes. The ever dangerous Brown worked a move on the left with the trialist #11 to set up Jordan Butterworth to volley home from eight yards.
The final goal saw Antony Brown score his second of the afternoon when he finished off superbly from the trialist #14's right wing pass.
The trialist #14 was unlucky not to score late on when his goal-bound shot was deflected onto the bar off a defender.
