A first half Louie Potts brace set Mossley on the way to a comfortable 4-0 win over Market Drayton Town at Seel Park on Saturday.
Despite the absence of five players due to holidays and work commitments, the Lilywhites gave their most convincing display of pre season so far as Market Drayton were often left chasing shadows with Mossley passing the ball through and around them while scoring some well executed goals.
The Lilywhites enjoyed the lions share of the ball throughout against the hard working but limited Shropshire side and after plenty of probing in the opening phase finally took the lead on 35 minutes. Mason Fawns deep cross from the left was headed down by Josh Dickin into the path of Louie Potts who fired home from close range at an awkward angle.
Five minutes later Mossley were two up. Will Hartshorne's powerful 25 yard drive was block saved by the keeper but Louie Potts reacted the quickest to slam home the rebound from eight yards.
The Mossley goal was rarely troubled and when it was the calm control of keeper Dale Latham and some solid defending kept the visitors comfortably at arms length.
A third goal arrived seven minutes after the half time break. Fawns' left wing corner was flicked on by Andy Keogh and centre back Will Hartshorne was in the right place to smash home from six yards out.
The Lilywhites wrapped up the scoring six minutes later when Andy Keogh's deftly flicked header from Jack Banister's in-swinging left wing corner gave the keeper no chance.
Mossley were in the cruise control throughout the last half hour and created several further chances without adding to the score-line.
