GOODEVE RELEASED

01/08/06

Mossley manager Jason Beckford, never one to shirk the tough decisions, has released utility player Jordan Goodeve after two seasons at Seel Park.

Goodeve arrived at Seel Park from Macclesfield Town in the closed season of 2004 and went on to make 93 appearances for the Lilywhites in two seasons scoring 21 goals, many from well outside the box.

Beckford said, "We had a surplus of forwards with the new arrivals at the club and there was no point keeping Jordan hanging about if there was no place for him in the side"

Goodeve made a name for himself at Mossley with some powerful and accurate shooting, as well as his ability to fill a number of different positions and the club wish him well for the future.
