MOSSLEY should have captain Melford Knight back for tomorrow’s UniBond League premier division match at Burscough.

The influential midfield player missed last Saturday’s home defeat by Frickley Athletic due to the birth of his child.

His return will reinforce the Lilywhites’ midfield as they seek a first win in 10 league fixtures, a run which has seen them slip to third from bottom. They are seven points from a position of safety.

Manager Jason Beckford is also hoping to have defender Steven Shiel back after a calf strain forced him to miss last Saturday’s match.

Beckford was pleased with his side’s showing last weekend when a late penalty miss cost them dear.

Oldham Town manager Tony Mills has signed Nicky Thompson on loan from Mossley and he will make his debut in defence in their trip to Darwen in the NWCL.
