Mossley face a UniBond League premier division relegation scrap at Leek Town tomorrow.
The game features the second and third bottom teams and Lilywhites manager Jason Beckford admits it is a game his players cannot afford to lose.
Beckford believes he holds the key to Mossley’s increasingly desperate battle to beat the drop.
He said: “I am confident if I can make two or three important signings we can turn things round and get out of trouble.
“In the two seasons when we won promotion, I made a couple of signings which gave us a lift when we needed it.
“The same applies this season, though this time we are battling against relegation.”
Beckford is trying to bring in a striker as his side needs added fire power. He is also looking for a pacy central defender.
