BECKS BRINGS IN EXPERIENCED DEFENDER AND 'STRETCH' RETURNS

10/11/06

Jason Beckford has brought in vastly experienced central defender Mike Flynn on a month's loan from Hyde United.

Flynn (37), has over 700 Football League appearances behind him, having been with Oldham Athletic, Norwich City, Preston North End, Stockport County, Stoke City, Barnsley and Blackpool. He then played for Accrington Stanley in their promotion season before joining Hyde in November 2005.

Mossley's promotion winning captain Danny Meadowcroft has also returned to Seel Park on a month's loan from Conference club Morecambe. A move that has been anticipated for several weeks.

Both palyers are expected to go straight into Mossley's defence in tomorrow's vital League fixture against Kendal Town.

Meanwhile, the latest departure is former Huddersfield Town captain Rob Edwards who has been released following some disappointing performances. He is set to be joined by defender Danny White who is now resident in Derby and finding travelling to Mossley too much. He is set to sign for Buxton.
