MOSSLEY OUT TO SHOCK LEADERS

12/01/07

The Lilywhites may have won only once in their last 14 league matches, but they have a decent record against the top teams.

Mossley were involved in a goalless draw at Telford in September, while they have also drawn home and away to second-placed Hednesford Town.

Manager Jason Beckford is puzzled as to why his team can match the top teams yet lose to the lesser lights.

Mossley hope to have former Athletic player David Eyres back after a three-match absence with an ankle injury.

And Beckford is also keeping his fingers crossed that defenders Will Ryder and Jonathon Smith will have recovered from minor injuries sustained in last Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Lincoln United.
