Mossley manager Jason Beckford has signed Chorley striker Peter Wright (24), who was top scorer for the Magpies last season with 22 goals.

Began his career as a trainee with Newcastle United before joining Halifax Town in the summer of 2001, where he made 14 League appearances.

He joined UniBond Premier side Burscough in August 2002 after being released by Halifax Town upon their relegation to the Conference at the end of the 2001/02 season, then transferred to Southport in the summer of 2003 after helping Burscough lift the FA Trophy at Villa Park.

Was handed the opportunity to return to Conference level with Northwich Victoria in November 2003, who paid an undisclosed fee for his services before switching to Altrincham in May 2004. Wright joined Chorley in the summer of 2005 after a spell with Bamber Bridge.
