Mossley will travel the short distance to Valley Road to face Vodkat North West Counties League Premier Division side Flixton in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Saturday 13th September (3.00 pm).

Flixton won their replayed Preliminary Round tie against Bottesford Town last night with a remarkable 7-5 score-line. Former Mossley striker Chris Downey scored four of Flixton's goals. Former Bolton Wanderers reserve Downey was Mossley's leading scorer in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons with 25 and 21 goals respectively.

Mossley's visit to Valley Road will be Flixton's fifth game in this season's competition having previously won a replay against fellow Vodkat Leaguers Abbey Hey in the Extra Preliminary Round.

* Please note that the Trafford v Mossley originally scheduled for 10th January 2009 will now be played on Saturday 8th November.
