Mossley have re-signed Christian Cooke from Hyde United on a month's loan.

The 23 year old midfielder had a difficult time in his first spell at Mossley due to injury and illness but still managed 57 appearances for the Lilywhites between 2005 and 2007.

Cooke was originally signed in July 2005 from Macclesfield Town where he had graduated through Macclesfield's academy set up.

He had impressed enough while on trial with Mossley the following pre season to earn a place in the Mossley squad and he went on to make 23 appearances in the 2005/06, earning a UniBond League Division One title medal along the way.

He made a further 34 appearances in the 2006/07 season in the UniBond Premier Division for Mossley before departing for Hyde United at the end of the season.

During that time he appeared in a variety of midfield and defensive roles but has settled in midfield for Hyde.

Chris's father John, a long term youth coach at Manchester United, was Mossley manager for a spell back in the 1990/91 season.
