Nick Boshell

Mossley manager Chris Willcock has signed attacking midfielder Nicky Boshell from fellow UniBond Leaguers Harrogate Railway Athletic. Boshell joined Rail' in the close season from Liversedge were he was leading scorer last season.

Boshell, who is the brother of Grimsby Town's ex Oldham and Stockport player Danny, made an instant impression on his debut as a substitute at Salford yesterday, setting up Mossley's third goal for Mike Fish with a great right wing cross and then being unlucky to have a goal disallowed when he was caught marginally off-side from Fish's chipped through ball.

Also making his debut yesterday was central midfielder Ryan Cook who more than held his own alongside the vastly experienced Phil Charnock despite having just arrived from amateur football where he played for Avro in the Manchester League.

Meanwhile, fringe players Dave Brooke and Matty Kemp have been told that they do not figure in Chris Willcock's plans and are to be released.

Coach Will Ivatt has also left the club due to a change in his work circumstances.
