MOSSLEY SIGN HYDE MIDFIELDER

15 / 03 / 11

Mossley have signed Hyde FC midfielder Lee Rick in time for him to join the squad for tonight's game at Salford City.

The first product of Hyde's newly formed reserve side to make a breakthrough into the first team in the 2006/07 season. Appearing mainly as an unused substitute, he scored his first goal in January 2007 against Blyth Spartans. Lee has also been with Macclesfield Town.

He became more involved with the first team in 08/09 and was soon starting games more regurlarly and has now made over 100 appearances for Hyde.

Lee (age 23) can play anywhere across the midfield.

Meanwhile, Aaron Chalmers is to be allowed to join Droylsden on loan until the end of the season. Chalmers has aspirations to play higher up the pyramid and now has the chance to prove himself to the Bloods despite having recently signed a 12 month extension to his Mossley contract.

Mossley will be without Matty Kay and Sam Hare for Saturday's visit of Durham City as both serve suspensions for their respective dismissals at Garforth. Sam will serve a three match ban while Matty will miss just one game. Kristian Dennis and Andy Watson will both return to the squad though after being unavailable for the last two games.

Finally, midfielder Ben McNamara is the latest member of Mossley's successful youth team to sign first team forms where he joins fellow youth teamers Joe Heap, Fabio Abreu, Alex Byrne, Jordan Cuff and Tom Clarke who have all already signed first team forms.
