Former Stalybridge Celtic reserve boss Shaun Higgins has been appointed as the new manager of Mossley AFC.

41 years old Shaun, a UEFA 'A' license coach, hails from Dukinfield. As a junior he played for Oldham Athletic and then later played for Hyde United before injury curtailed his playing career.

He then moved into coaching and spent two years working with Stockport County's School of Excellence and has spent the last three years managing the reserve and youth teams at Stalybridge Celtic.

Joining Shaun at Seel Park is fellow 'A' license coach Paul Ogden who will be assistant manager for the first team.

First team coach and reserve team manager will be UEFA 'B' coach Matt Broadhead who has experience coaching developing players at Manchester City and Burnley. He will be assisted by UEFA 'B' licenced coach Rob Byrne who will also double as youth team manager. Also joining the youth set up is fellow UEFA 'B' licence coach Steve Atkinson.
