COO MAKES 100th APPEARANCE

Versatile Mossley player Cavell Coo completed his 100th game in a Mossley shirt in last Saturday's 2-2 draw against Salford City

Cavell (25) signed for the Lilywhites from Curzon Ashton in October 2010, making his Mossley debut as a substitute in an FA Trophy match against Nantwich Town on 30th October 2010.

Manchester born Cavell began his playing career in junior football with Fletcher Moss Youth before signing as a trainee at Crewe Alexandra. He helped Crewe to reach the semi finals of the FA Youth Cup before signing a pro contract in July 2006. He made 2 first team appearances in the 2006/07 season against Rochdale and Blackpool and also had a loan spell at Woodley Sports.

Upon his release by Crewe at the end of the 2006/07 season, Cavell had a brief spell with Altrincham before joining Witton Albion in late August 2007, The following summer he briefly signed for Droylsden before moving to FC Halifax Town, linking up with his former Witton boss Jim Vince. In 2010 he signed for Curzon under Gary Lowe before arriving at Mossley during Shaun Higgins reign at Seel Park.

Since his arrival at Mossley Cavell has been a highly consistrent performer in a number of positions in defence and midfield and after narrowly being runner up in 2010/11, Cavell won the Mossleyweb Player of the Year Award in 2011/12.
