AND PEARSON OPTS FOR CONGLETON
18 / 05 / 13

Popular goalkeeper coach Dave Hedley has departed from Mossley in order to work with his home town club Chorley.

Dave began coaching at Mossley in August 2011 having most recently worked with Atherton LR's keepers. His first team keeper at LR was Martin Pearson who also arrived at Seel Park.

Last season Dave split his duties between Mossley, where he continued to work with Pearson and latterly Russ Saunders, and Chorley's keepers, whilst combining his football duties with his full time job as a long distance driver.

For next season Dave will work exclusively with the Chorley keepers and Mossley AFC would like to sincerely thank Dave for his excellent work in his time at Mossley and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.

Dave's protégé Martin Pearson has also now departed from the Lilywhites having commited his immediate future to Congleton Town, where he spent the latter part of the season on loan after losing his place to Russ Saunders following the 2-0 defeat at Trafford in January.

The popular keeper made a total of 73 appearances for the Lilywhites and was voted 'Players Player of the Year' in the 2011/12 season. Martin also leaves with the club's best wishes for the future.
