Mossley have signed teenage Huddersfield Town striker Connor Loftus on a one month loan deal.

The 18-year-old was released by Bury at the end of last season and he linked up with Huddersfield in the summer.

Loftus started his career with hometown team Bolton Wanderers before leaving to join Bury's centre of excellence.

The nippy frontman actually had a spell on trial with Town towards the end of last season and featured in the FA Premier Academy League clash with Sunderland.

Loftus clearly did enough to persuade Huddersfield to offer him this second chance and development coach Steve Eyre is backing him to grasp it with both hands.

Eyre believes that young hitman Loftus could well be 'a late developer' and that he is looking forward to developing his career.

Loftus will stay at Mossley through to 19th January 2013.
