MATHER MOVES TO MOSSLEY
HALFORD SNAPS UP CURZON WIDE MAN

31 / 08 / 12

Mossley Manager Steve Halford has signed left sided player Adam Mather after a brief spell at Curzon Ashton.

Mather spent six years with New Mills making over 250 appearances for the Millers and was awarded both the manager’s and supporters’ player of the year awards in his final season at Church Lane before joining Woodley Sports for an undisclosed fee in the close season of 2011.

He signed for Curzon in the current pre season but moves to Mossley without having played a competitive game for the Tameside Stadium club.

Mather can play anywhere on the left side and has excellent energy and ability and has shown a great attitude both on and off the pitch at his former clubs.

Mather is included in the Mossley squad for tomorrow's game at Farsley. Mossley will be without the services of the injured Mark Haslam and the Lilywhites boss is still unable to call on the services of recent signing Ash Young as the club still awaits his International clearance. Chris Rowney will make his final appearance before beginning a three match ban following his dismissal at Cammell Laird.
