BANDY BRINGS IN MORRISON
AS JOINT TEAM MANAGER

Mossley Manager Peter Band has brought in Lloyd Morrison to manage Mossley alongside him for the coming Season.

Morrison (41) has spent the last twelve months in charge at North West Counties Leaguers Winsford United where he led his side to a 4th place finish last season, just 4 points behind champions Padiham and also led them to success in the Mid-Cheshire FA Cup where they beat Northwich Victoria in the final.

After an amateur playing career which saw him play for Chadderton, Maine Road and Mid Cheshire League side Styal, Morrison became player manager at Styal winning the League title in his second saeson in charge and also the Cheshire Amateur Cup. He then stepped up to the North West Counties League with Flixton and with little or no budget took the now disbanded club from adrift at the bottom of the NWCL when he took over to avoiding relegation. They then finished 15th in his first full season and 8th place in 2011/12 before he took over at Winsford last summer.

Morrison is noted for his playing contacts on the North West non league scene and Peter Band is delighted to have him on board.

Bandy said of Morrison, "I've known Lloyd for a long time, we work close by each other in our day jobs and he is someone who has impressed me both as a person and as a manager. He has great contacts in the game and he will attract some quality players to the club. I'm really looking forward to working alongside him."
