MOSSLEY ADD MORE QUALITY TO IMPROVING SQUAD

Ross Davidson

Never ones to rest on the laurels, joint Mossley bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison have added four players to a squad already brimming with talent.

Ross Davidson (age 25) is a strong and clever midfielder or defender who signed from Witton Albion. He is a product of the Port Vale youth team and made 26 first team appearances for the Valiants before moving into non league with Stafford Rangers, Hednesford Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Leek Town, New Mills and Natwich Town.

Sam Robinson (age 21) is a strong and quick forward who has signed from Matlock Town. He began his career with Farsley moving through the youth ranks before taking his chance and establishing himself as a first team player before a move to Ossett Albion which would see him gain more experience after which he returned to Farlsey for the end of the 2013/2014 season before joining Matlockin the closed season.

Matty Cross (age 34) is an experienced and influential defensive midfielder signed from NWCL leaders Runcorn Linnets where he was team captain. He played for Mossley earlier in his career making 23 appearances back in 2003 when Ally Pickering was Mossley manager. Matty has also played for Barnsley, Hereford United, Bangor City, Rhayader Town, Rhyl, Trafford, Bacup Borough, Bamber Bridge, Salford City, Warrington Town and Witton Albion.

Connor O'Keefe (age 19) is an agile young goalkeeper signed from Macclesfield Town.

Meanwhile, a change of work circumstances means that Andy Brown is able to rejoin the squad after initially expecting to be unavailable on Saturdays and last season's top scorer Dougie Carroll is back in full training following his extended injury absence.

Young striker Christian Travaglini has departed for University in Canada having made just one start for the team and the club wish him all the best for the future.
