MOSSLEY RAID MILLERS FOR STRIKER RIO

Mossley have swooped to sign striker Porya 'Rio' Ahmadi from neighbours New Mills.

"Rio" is a clever and clinical Iranian born striker who began his career with Sheffield United and helped the Blades to the FA Youth Cup Final in 2011.

He then had a brief spell with Skelmersdale United before spending 18 months with Chorley. He then moved on to Droylsden and then Salford City before signing for New Mills early in the 2014/15 season.

Rio first came to Mossley's attention last season when he scored four fantastic goals as Salford City beat Mossley 6-2 at Moor Lane and he was on the mark again for New Mills against Mossley in this season's FA Trophy tie.
