MOSSLEY SIGN KEEPER COMPETITION

Mossley have signed goalkeeper Jack Cookson from Prescot Cables.

Jack Cookson (aged 21) is a 6' 3" keeper who will offer serious competition to current first choice Liam Flynn.

Warrington based Jack is currently maintaining his match fitness playing for NWCL side Alsager Town.

The Lilywhites other keeper Will Jones unfortunately broke an ankle while he was making his debut in a loan arrangement playing for Winsford United.

Cookson was previously with Stalybridge Celtic, Burscough, and Welsh side GAP Connah's Quay Nomads.

He represented Great Britain in the World Catholic Colleges games in Portugal while he also completed a two year scholarship at Morecambe.

Meanwhile, recently signed striker Jon Robinson has joined NWCL side Ashton Athletic in a bid to improve his match fitness. Jon scored on his debut for the Ashton-in-Makefield side in a 4-1 win at Barnoldswick Town on Saturday.
