SQUAD UPDATE

Mossley joint bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison have been forced into the transfer market due to suspensions and departures and have four new signings with a fifth to be confirmed in the next few days.

The new arrivals are:-

Scott Cheetham (age 22) is a central midfielder signed in December 2015 FC United of Manchester. He represented England at Schoolboy u-18 International level having come through the ranks at FC United, graduating to the first team on a regular basis in the 2014/15 season.

Andy Fitzgerald (age 22) is a central defender who can also play as a full back signed from Glossop North End. He was previously an academy graduate with Hyde FC making his senior debut in Conference North in the 2013/14 season before playing for Ramsbottom United.

Bobby Lofthouse (age 21) is a left sided midfielder who graduated the the Myerscough College youth set up and went on to make 44 appearances scoring two goals for Stockport County before joining Mossley.

Lanre Olapade (age 19) is a versatile young defender signed from Ramsbottom United. He began as a junior with Manchester City before playing for the youth and reserve teams at Fleeetwood Town. He was then at Colwyn Bay where he played regularly in the Conference North side last season.

Leaving Seel Park is Mitch Bryant who has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Scott Kay has signed for Conference North side FC United of Manchester though Mossley will retain his Evo-stik League registration leaving the Seel Park door open for the talented midfielder should things not work our for him at Broadhurst Park.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Will Jones is set to return to training following a broken ankle incurred whilst on loan at Winsford United.
