MICKY T RETURNS TO MOSSLEY

Popular central defender Michael Thomas has re-signed for Mossley after an 18 month absence due to work commitments.

Having graduated through Macclesfield Town's Academy to make his first team debut in 2009 for Macclesfield Town, in October 2010 he joined Mossley on loan making 28 appearances and scoring 2 goals playing in central defence and occasionally in a defensive midfield role.

Upon returning to Macclesfield he joined Leek Town on the eve of the 2011/12 season. He was recalled to Macclesfield's first team in the 2011/12 season and made 10 appearances before the season's close.

In May 2012 following Macclesfield's relegation to the Conference, Thomas was released at the expiry of his contract. He joined Colwyn Bay in the summer of 2012, he moved back to Leek Town in October 2012. He then joined Northwich Victoria in 2013 before re-signing for Mossley in September 2015 via a short spell playing for Linotype Cheadle Heath Nomads in the Cheshire League.

He made 35 appearances for Mossley scoring a further 2 goals in the 2015/16 season before departed Seel Park to work in the Netherlands in April 2016.

Also, teenage midfielder Marko Basic's loan spell with the club has been extended for a further month.

Basic has been on loan at Seel Park from National League side FC Halifax Town since mid September and the club can now confirm that an agreement has been reached with The Shaymen to ensure Basic remains a Mossley player for an additional one month period.

The 18 year old has made 10 appearances in all competitions for The Lilywhites so far this season.

Rory Fallon has returned to Curzon Ashton having made just 2 Mossley appearances.
