UNDER 21's WELCOME NEW MANAGER

Mossley AFC have a new manager for the U21s Development Team with experienced coach Chris Woods joining.

Chris has extensive experience and networks in Manchester Youth teams and coaches the highly successful West Gorton JFC. He has previously worked as a coach and manager at various levels with the likes of Glossop North End and Cheadle Town.

Chairman Gary Dean said, “We have a strategic plan for the club for the next 3 years which is very focused on integrating the teams across the whole of the development opportunities at Mossley AFC so there is a clear pathway for talented footballers of any age.

The first step is to ensure the U21s is a platform for first team opportunity whilst also playing in their own league and furthering our success on the Pitch. At the same time players get to come back from injury or to match fitness through the Development Squad which will strengthen our bench.

Chris is experienced in this development arena whilst also buying in to our vision for the squad, and we are happy to welcome him into the MAFC family.”

Strength and conditioning coach / football analyst Micael Caires, who is originally from Portugal, also joins us having coached at Guia FC, Manchester University, Cheadle Town and Didsbury Juniors FC.
