KEOGH IS NEW SKIPPER

Following the departure to Buxton of former Lilywhites skipper Tom Dean, Mossley AFC are delighted to announce that our team captain for the 2018/19 season will be Andy Keogh.

Andy (age 30), is in his third spell with the club and is a strong and skilful attacking midfielder or forward who was re-signed in February 2018 having returned from a twelve month spell with Trafford.

Andy began his playing career as a youth teamer at Altrincham and then played for Wythenshawe Town and then Flixton before joining Winsford United in 2012 and Mossley in August 2013.

He departed for Nantwich Town in December 2013 after scoring 9 goals in 29 Mossley appearances but returned to Mossley in August 2014 and made a further 95 appearances for the Lilywhites scoring another 17 goals before transferring to Trafford in February 2017.

Andy was also team captain in his last spell with the club, twice lifting the Manchester Premier Cup in 2015 and 2016.

Andy is the latest returning player to commit to the club for the coming season along with Mason Duffy, Declan Evans and Mike Fish along with new boys Adam Jones, Ben Richardson and Marcus Burgess and we will announce more over the coming days.
