FORMER TOP SCORER RETURNS

Mossley AFC are delighted to announce the return of a player who was twice the club's leading golascorer.

Matty Kay (age 30) is an attacking midfielder who has re-signed for Mossley from West Didsbury & Chorlton FC for a second spell at Seel Park.

He originally graduated through the youth set up at Rochdale and then had spells with Ashton United, Woodley Sports and Ramsbottom United.

Matty originally joined the Lilywhites from from Salford City back in February 2009 and the two following seasons saw him finish as top scorer with 29 and 18 goals respectively and was also voted supporters 'Player of the Year' in 2010.

He transferred to Curzon Ashton in the closed season of 2011 helping them to the Evo-stik League title in 2013 before having spells with both FC United of Manchester and Trafford.

Matty has since continued his excellent scoring record whilst netting 43 goals in 103 appearances for West Didsbury & Chorlton FC over the last three seasons.
