KEIL RETURNS TO MOSSLEY . . . ON LOAN

Mossley have signed central defender Keil O'Brien on a one month loan deal from Trafford.

A Manchester United youth graduate, Keil made his senior debuts with Glossop North End in 2009 before he joined Northwich Victoria in the summer of 2010.

Keil (age 27) originally joined Mossley under Gareth McClelland's management in August 2011 and quickly became a regular starter making 42 appearances in the 2011/12 season.

The 2012/13 season saw Steve Halford as Mossley manager and after making 12 further appeareances for the Lilywhites he joined Chorley in December 2012 for an undisclosed fee.

Keil won recognition in the 2013/14 season, where he made 40 appearances and scored 2 goals as Chorley were promoted to the Football Conference as champions. He was also named in the campaign's Team of the Year.

In June 2014 Keil signed a two-year deal with League Two side Bury. However, he suffered a knee injury in September, being sidelined for several months. He made his professional debut on 16th December 2014, starting in a 0–1 away loss against Luton Town in the FA Cup.

He had a loan spell at FC Halifax Town before he joined Southport in August 2016 . In the same month he returned to FC Halifax Town on a month's loan and then at the end of September 2016 he joined Stalybridge Celtic on loan.

In January 2017 O'Brien made the long trip down under to sign for Moreland City FC, a team competing in Australia's National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 signing for Trafford on his return for the 2017/18 season and has since made 95 appearances for Tom Bakers's side, scoring 4 goals.
