Mossley have signed prolific striker Jamie Rainford from Runcorn Linnets.

Last season saw the experienced 31 years old hit man finish joint second in the West Division charts with 22 goals while serving Widnes, Clitheroe and Ramsbottom United.

He had ended the previous season with Colwyn Bay, having joined the Welsh club from Glossop North End in February 2017 aftree netting 29 goals for the Hillmen in 2015-16.

Jamie first came to prominence with Prescot Cables, where he stayed for close to two seasons, before transferring to Marine.

His career really took off at this point with the then youngster's 28 goals in 2010-11 drawing attention from Football League scouts.

His former clubs also include Prescot Cables, Marine, Chester, FC Halifax Town, Connah's Quay Nomads and Witton Albion.
