Players Player of the Year Declan Evans decision to stay wiith the Lilywhites for the 2020/21 season is a major boost for new boss David Fish as he assembles his new look Mossley squad with a few familar faces.

Highly rated central defender Dec Evans is the latest member of last season's team to re-sign for the coming campaign along with experienced fellow defenders Ben Richardson (who returns from a brief spell with Ramsbottom United) and the popular Steve Mason.

Supporters Player of the Year Andy Keogh is a massively important returnee having ended last term as caretaker manager. Andy now reverts to solely a playing role but as team captain is a vitally important pice in David Fish's jig-saw.

Teenage centre back Jack Grundy who impressed in his loan spell from Oldham Athletic last term has also re-signed for Mossley following his release from the Latics.

Keeper Liam Lovell (previously dual registered from Curzon Ashton) returns along with local boys Dylan Fitzgerald (after a brief spell with Glossop) and Danny McLaughlin (who finished last season with New Mills).

Versatile forward Szymon Czubik has also re-signed following two loan spells with the Lilywhites whilst he was registered with Stockport County. Szymon is now solely a Mossley player along with midfielder Sam Kilner who signed from Buxton last season, though the former Rochdale youngster has yet to make his competitive Mossley debut.

There are also several new faces arriving:-

Goalkeeper Jordan Hadlow was Managers Player of the Year at Chadderton last season having previously starred for Manchester Leaguers Manchester Central.

Former Curzon Ashton defender Jordan Butterworth was also with Chadderton last season while former FC United of manchester and Stalybridge Celtic left back Jack O'Leary arrives from Glossop North End.

Three other highly rated players have signed from North West Counties League clubs. Midfield play-maker Ethan Kershaw who came through the ranks at Burnley arrives via Longridge Town and ex manchester United and Curzon Ashton youth midfielder Ryan Shenton has signed from Barnoldswick Town along with exciting winger Matty Waller, who starred for Shelley FC last season and is an England 6-a-side International player having been developed at Leeds United as a youth.

There will also be several trialists on view during pre season with announcements regarding pre season friendly fixtures expected very shortly.
