With the first team without a game Mossley reserve team boss Rob Byrne had the luxury of calling on several first team squad players for this Lancashire League fixture against Kendal Town. The Lilywhites second string running out comfortable 6-0 winners.

Mossley included their trio of new youth team signings from FC United of Manchester, striker Brian Tottoh, defender Maximilian Thomas and midfielder Tom Minnock and all three played their part in a convincing performance. The electrically paced Tottoh leading the way with an impressive hat-trick.

It took Mossley 12 minutes to break the ice as Jordan Cuff was clumsily brought down in the box. Alex Byrne took the responsibility and made no mistake from the 12 yard mark.

Tottoh and Osebi Abadaki were tormenting the visitors with their pace and movement and Tottoh twice wriggled through several tackles only to lose out when trying to round the keeper but he finally got his first goal on 33 minutes with a fine high speed run and finish.

Tottoh took only two minutes of the second half to score again as he raced through a static Kendal defence to slot home.

Tottoh had a goal chalked off for off-side but within a minute Mossley had their fourth goal when Lee Constantine fired home from the edge of the box.

Tottoh completed an impressive hat-trick finishing off a neat five man move in the 65th minute and Osebi Abadaki rounded off the scoring when he added the sixth goal on 70 minutes. Racing onto a through ball the speedy striker clipped a perfect chip over the stranded Kendal keeper.

Mossley replaced Constantine with 15 year old Greg Street, son of 1970's Mossley player Bobby Street and Ben McNamara replaced Alex Byrne a few minutes later.

McNamara was only named as a substitute after Omar McKenzie pulled up in the warm ups but the young first team midfield dynamo didn't finish the game as he was carried off on a stretcher with suspected ligament damage. It was therefore a disappointing ending to what was an otherwise good display and goal tally.
