Derby day at Seel Park and what a day for Mossley a fantastic 6-1 win over Ashton United to keep the Lily's excellent form going.

Mossley were brilliant right from the first minute and on 15 mins opened the scoring, Ellie Price's shot was well saved but Maisie Blackshaw smashed in the rebound for Mossley's first.

Just 5 minutes later and after some great passing, the ball fell to Lilly Weston who from fully 35 yards hit a beauty into the top corner, and, to prove it was no fluke on 25 mins Lilly Weston scored a wonderful free kick to give Mossley a 3-0 lead.

On 35 minutes and after becoming an auntie last night Grace Burke celebrated by hitting an unstoppable shot to put Mossley out of site before half time.

The second half saw Ashton becoming more physical but Mossley kept their heads and played some breathtaking football with the defence being there usual solid selves.

On 70 mins Mossley were awarded a free kick just outside the box and up stepped Lilly Weston looking for her hat-trick. Which she got with a very clever free kick as the wall jumped Lilly put the ball under them and into the bottom corner to complete a stunning treble.

Mossley added a 6th on 80 minutes a great pass by Elli Price to Maisie Blackshaw, who, with a brilliant first touch curled the ball into the top corner for her second and Mossley s 6th goal.

A late consolation from Ashton was not going to spoil a fantastic team performance and make it just 1 leauge defeat in 9 games.

A massive thankyou to our supporters today who were great and get well soon Mollie Callaghan who was carried off with a knee injury.
