Mossley Women had an inspired performance by keeper megan Dickin to thank for Wednesday's 1-0 Seel Park win over title chasing Bolton Wanderers.

The Lily's, back in action under the lights of Seel Park against 2nd place Bolton Wanderers, saw.a very tight first half with very few chances. Mossley playing some great football and yet again the defence looking really solid and played out confidently from the back .

The second half continued to be a tight affair until on 63 minutes Bolton created a great chance only for 'Woman of the Match' Meg Dickin to make a brilliant save, the ball broke back to the Bolton forward who looked certain to score but for an another outstanding save by Dickin. The ball then broke to Mossley and with some brilliant passing the Lily's broke with pace with the cross causing panic in the Bolton defence and the Bolton defender could only divert the ball into her own net to give Mossley the lead.

There were chances at both ends but no more goals giving Mossley a 1-0 win and all 3 points.

That's now just 1 defeat in 8 league games putting Mossley 3rd in the League after a fantastic win with every Mossley player putting a shift in.

Mossley are back in action on Sunday in the derby against Ashton United at Seel Park (2 pm).
