On a freezing Sunday and on a tiny pitch Mossley Women took on a Bolton Wanderers team second in the league and who have only lost once all season.
The game started with Mossley playing all the football and in all fairness out-playing Bolton . A blow early on when in form Abbey Rogers pulled her hamstring and could take no further part . This however didn't stop Mossley taking a deserved lead on 30 minutes and what a goal it was. Another 30 yard screamer from Grace Burke who simply doesn't score tap ins .
Then on 40 minutes Natalie Leaver hit a beauty from long range and Mossley went into the break with a well deserved 2-0 lead.
The second half was just one of those games. Bolton scoring twice on 55 and 80 minutes with both goals having a strong hint of offside, but at the moment the Lily's are just not getting the luck .
A late winner from Bolton was really harsh on Mossley and should not distract from the positives of the game .
Mossley played the better football and at times it was a pleasure to watch and deserved the points but sometimes in football you don't get what you deserve .
Woman of the match was Lilly Weston who was absolutely outstanding the whole game and very nearly got an equalizer in the injury time, but was run close by Ellie Clarkson who had a fantastic game at the heart of the defence.
