Mossley Women won through to the semi finals of the GMWL Division One Cup with a well deserved 4-1 victory over West CDidsbury & Chorlton while also gaining revenge for Sunday's defeat by the same side.

The Lilys first half performance was simply stunning. They played some fantastic one and two touch football against their more experienced opposition, while also scoring goals of the highest caliber.

Tall forward Ellie Clarkson opened the scoring when she ran on to a great through ball to hammer the ball into the top corner on 22 minutes.

More neat and tidy approach play saw Natalie Leaver fire an unstoppable 25 yarder into the roof of the net just before the half hour mark.

West Didsbury & Chorlton halved the arrears six minutes later with a shot that dipped over the otherwise faultless keeper Megan Dickin.

Woman of the Match Grace Burke made it 3-1 a minute before the break with a stunning long distance strike and Grace Burke repeated the feat four minutes after the restart to give the Lily's a 4-1 advantage. There were no further goals despite several chances created at both ends and it is Mossley who deservedly go through to the semi finals.
