Derby day at Seel Park with Mossley looking to continue their red hot form, and they did not disappoint a very good crowd. From the first minute to last Mossley dominated Ashton United Ladies with some classy pass and move football.
The only question was how did it take until the 36th minute for Mossley to finally open the scoring. All time Mossley top scorer Kenzie Bentley making no mistake from the edge of the box.
Just before half time Lizzie Stack added a second with a worldy from 30 yards.
In the second half Mossley started to enjoy themselves and looked like they were out to prove a point and that is what they did.
Goals from Cerys Wilson (58 minutes) a 15 minute hat-trick from player of the match Jess Graham (74, 79 and 89 mins) Bentleys second on 82 minutes and two more from Katie Evans (90 and 90+1) had Mossley in dreamland. 9 - 0 and it was totally deserved.
A special mention to the Mossley defence and Mossleys number one Meg Dickin who have now only conceded 1 goal in their last 3 games.
Manager Dame Blackshaw said, "it just shows when you do things the right way, work hard, have brilliant team spirit, and a talented group of players you can achieve anything. Some of the football these ladies play is incredible and they do it with a smile on there faces."
