Mossley Women went into their final game knowing that three points would secure second place, but unfortunately, in football you dont always get what you deserve.
Mossley were by far the better team and twice went ahead through Kenzie Bentley and Kiera McNamara. But were twice pegged back. The second coming in the 80th minute. The game finished 2 - 2 but Mossley deserved to win there's no doubt about that.
The draw means Mossley have lost just once in the last 15 league games which is an incredible achievment.
Player of the match was Nicole Worthington filling in at centre back and was class all night long.
Manager Dame Blackshaw gave his final summary of the season, "It's been a brilliant season. We've improved throughout the season and I couldn't have asked for any more. I'm so proud of what we have achieved and look forward to next season. Thanks to everyone who's supported us this season it means a lot."
