Goal machine Kenzie Bentley was at it again and then some on Sunday as Mossley Women hammered a Sale side who had lost only once previously to make progress in the GMWL Challenge Cup.
The Lilys were hoping to continue their excellent recent form despite missing a few players. However, with a strong squad confidence was high.
From the first minute Mossley dominated the game and a Kenzie Bentley double had them 2 - 0 after just 12 minutes.
Before half time Bentley with the help of some brilliant passing football got her 3rd and 4th to put Mossley 4 - 0 at half time.
The second half was the same. With the Mossley defence like a brick wall Sale had no chance to get back into the game.
Bentley added her 5th goal of the day followed by Lizzie Stack's super strike the game finished 6 - 0 to Mossley.
Player of the match was Kiera McNamara who didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon. And with Blackshaw and Worthington controlling the midfield Mossley were just brilliant to watch.
Manager Dame Blackshaw said, "We are improving all the time and to beat a side who have only lost once this season by 6-0 just shows how well we are playing. We've only conceded 1 goal in 4 games whilst scoring 21 times and that speak s volumes."
