Mossley ran riot in Sunday’s Manchester FA Youth Cup Quarter Final beating neighbours Ashton United by 12 goals to nil.

Jordan Cuff led the way with five goals scored in the 25th, 26th, 75th, 80th and 86th minutes. Fabio Abreu bagged a hat-trick netting in the 2nd, 30th and 66th minutes. There was also two goals by Joe Heap in the 65th and 88th minutes. Heap was also provider for many of the Mossley goals. Kyle McDonagh scored his first goal for the club in the 53rd minute and Alex Byrne scored in the 85th minute.

This was Mossley’s biggest win of the season and was a thoroughly convincing performance that now sees the Lilywhites boys into the semi final of the County’s flagship competition for under 18’s sides. Having previously disposed of cup favourites FC United of Manchester in an earlier round, Mossley now have a great chance to get to the final.
